Heath resorts
It today's world with its hectic pace of life people would be unable to live and survive without enough rest. Indeed, some of us have even stopped noticing the fact that quiet life and healthy surrounding (both in a physical and mental sense of this word) are something that's no longer available in our life. To a great extent thanks to mass media and propaganda of the western, success-oriented way of life every day we keep trying to reach new heights and be as successful as possible in everything: personal relations, work, sports etc. In fact, some people no longer live in a true family (as this notion was understood just a decade ago) and don't communicate with their parents, children or siblings as much as they should. But however, having rest is crucial for a human organism no matter how much such a person wants to do within one day. So this means that for a certain amount of time during the day a person should not be doing anything, or just do things that do not require much physical or mental effort. But this is not enough, as some would think. Probably as crucial for a human organism is to go on vacation at least twice during the year and spend a week or two in a place where one can recover his or her strengths for another half a year. Health resorts have been the perfect places for that for at least two centuries now. Health resorts are basically cities, towns or small settlements which have all necessary conditions and infrastructure for recreation of people coming there for this particular reason. In the medical sense of this word a health resort is a certain territory where natural therapeutic factors are located, as well as special technical appliances for their therapeutic use (for example beaches, pump-rooms, parks etc) and special medical and preventive treatment facilities, such as sanatoriums. Health resorts differ from recreational areas, because besides therapeutic resources they also have a system of technical, medical and organizational resources and that's why they can render medical assistance to patients with various diseases. And recreational areas simply have natural therapeutic resources and are designed for recreation of healthy people and prevention of their chronic diseases. There may be different health resorts depending on the prevailing health-improving resources, like air, sunlight, the sea or the ocean etc.
